Veg bods from a broad, i mean abroad!

Ummmm... hello!
http://www.vegaaniliitto.fi/vegaia/2005/syksy/vegan-fit.html

Not quite sure what the above Web site link says because i am unfamiliar with the language used, but i get the distinct impression that trio from Helsinki is vegan...

I've never been one for oogling dudes (OK, not much) but i do find the physical bodies of both humans and animals, male and female, interesting, to say the least.

I have had my ups and downs in the weight world. I was a heavy child who struggled with anorexia nervosa as a 15- and 16-year-old, with, at one time, 85 lbs. on my 5-foot-6 frame. I also was quite a bit "overweight" for a while in my 30s after a series of health issues.

Now at 40 i have finally found peace with my body. I wish that for everyone. Bet the above guys do, too! Anyone know Finnish?

****************************************************************

To all you kindred spirits who take time to read and comment on my blog:
Many sincere thanks.

Wait a minute. I looked at that picture again and that guy on the right looks strangely like my minister. NONONONONO!!!! God will burn my eyes out! Can't look, can't look.

That's okay carrie, you don't have to look, I will. From firemen to vegmen... well, this is a nice thought to end my day on.

P.S. My veggie guy would fit right in (well, maybe a few years ago) ....I've taught him how to use the washboard in stead of wearing it. ;)

I'm guessing I inspired this post just a little... (not the hot guys bit). I have to admit though, they don't appeal to me... lets just say I'm not intersted in guys and leave it at that. I have a friend who knows NOrweigen - I reackon they'd be similar.

yikes. Anorexia is such a scary disease. From what I have heard it is treated much more seriously now than it was, say 10+ years ago. So happy that you are a success story!

drool....

Boy they sure look scrawny (she says sarcastically). People have the ideal of vegans as being unhealthy and sickly. They need to take a look at these guys, because they are anything but that.

Oh my god, I always say there is no use for knowing Finnish, but now I have found my purpose! It’s been a few years and I can’t read the whole thing off the top of my head but it’s about the First Vegan Fitness week in Manchester someplace? I am unclear as to where that is, there is certainly no Manchester, Finland. Sounds kind of like the “Veggie Olympics” along with events centered on vegan foods with participants from UK, USA, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Norway and Finland. Seems like it was very successful they will be having it again this year. I don’t have time to try and read the whole thing because I am now Finnish retarded and it would take me forever, but that’s the gist.

BTW – You would think Norwegian should be similar to Finnish, but it isn’t. Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and even Icelandic are pretty closely related to each other. They are all Indo-European, as is English. Finnish is in the Uralic (or Finno-Ugric, whichever you prefer) language family. It is most closely related to Estonian and Sámi (the native language of the indigenous reindeer herders in that part of the arctic circle), and more distantly related to Hungarian and some Siberian languages. Ok, that concludes your linguistics lesson for the day, carry on.

BTW - Kudos to those of you dealing with and overcoming eating disorders. I just have plain ‘ol food issues and lord knows even that’s hard enough. Be at peace with your body, despite it seeming to hate you sometimes it is your friend :)

And by the way, is nay of you is looking for a vegan mate with the nordic look, you may want to check out the vegan week held in Denmark sometimes in August: these three guys may attend and that is a pretty good push for me to go!

I know what it's like to have an eating disorder and to be overweight and to desperately search for peace. My search still continues. I am very inspired by yours.

Nice blog!

Congrats to you for finding peace. That is hard for us women to do, with all of the media and celebrities, etc, making us think we need to be a size 2. I never had weight issues until I was an adult, and have just lost most of the weight I gained since high school, but still can't say I'm happy with my body. Perhaps someday.

I'm not much for ogling men, but I can appreciate that picture. Thank you. ;) They sure don't look like they're suffering from not eating animal products.

Thanks for the yummy photo!

Thank you for sharing this with us. You look so healthy and slim.
I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. I have just resigned myself that the best way is to be healthy, work out, watch what I eat and care more about HOW I look that what the size number says in my jeans. Hugs to you!

Hey Kleopatra! Any big plans for the weekend? What's happening in California?
I'm working the wine store Saturday, but have Sunday to lounge. PM me on Veggin' Out so I know things are cool. Or hot! Maybe you've run off with those Finnish boys.
