Meanderings

Mattie lookin' like E.T.
Cute!

I am readying for a short trip to Chicago at the end of the month.
I hope to get to a Cubs game. I'm a Bleacher Bum!
But I'll miss San Diego (and some of the peeps) while I'm gone.
I feel so fortunate to live in SoCal.

Proverbial food for thought found at http://thegardenofeatin.blogspot.com/:

1. Five minutes to yourself: how would you spend them, ideally?
(Me: daydreaming)

2. Five bucks to spend right now: how would you spend it?
(Me: some snacks at GTM)

3. Five items in your house you could part with, right now, that you hadn't thought of already.
(Me: Some books, some clothes, recyclables, pens, old cellphone)

4. Five items you absolutely, positively could never part with in your house.
(Me: Dog, computer, cards from friends, Sky chair, some books)

5. Five words you love.
(Me: I Love You, Mensch, Spelunking)

i would love to see YOUR answers...

1. Five minutes to yourself: how would you spend them, ideally?
on my front balcony, with a cup of coffee and the sun on my toes.

2. Five bucks to spend right now: how would you spend it?
on a post card and post card stamp to send to my friend in japan. and then use the rest on coffee . . .

3. Five items in your house you could part with, right now, that you hadn't thought of already.
the papers in my attic, the weird dvd my mom bought us for christmas, the squirrel that has taken up residence in my attic, the mound of recycling in my basement, the trashed love seat in the "man basement."

4. Five items you absolutely, positively could never part with in your house.
my wedding pictures, my letters from jon, my husband, my school books (they are expensive!), umm . . our record player? (the first three are the only ones that really count)

5. Five words you love.
solidarity, peace, family, scheiss, coffee.
(i think it's great that you wrote "Mensch"!)

kunsjoi,

It IS a piscean thing, it's gotta be! We love good food, we love to sit and stare into space...

Many thanks for the nice comment about cutie, i mean Mattie. She's a "pound" rescue - and totally deaf. i love her mucho mucho mucho, as you can probably tell.

kaivegan,

Thank you for the comment... my friend Peter took that photo of Mattie after he gave her a bath. He wrapped'r up in the towel and caught that look. She's such a goof. I love your blog! I am a regular reader of it....

tabitha jane,

Many thanks for your answers! i appreciate you sharing that with me... i wonder if the squirrel knows what a safe haven he's got there in your attic? What DVD did your mom give you? I love your top three items you couldn't part with. VERY sweet.

i think my landlord might come and catch the squirrell and set it free across the river . . . i don't think my landlord wants squirrell poop in the attic . . .

my mom gave me this weird dvd/family approved dvd about vietnam/jesus . . . i just don't get it. i think she got it at the dollar store too.

I think Mattie is absolutely precious! I used to have a cocker spaniel and I have a real soft spot for them. Here's a link to my cutie pie. http://static.flickr.com/57/186130963_445dea20a9_o.jpg

Irresponsible pet ownership drives me insane!

I'm so glad you're my new friend.
