Thanks for the link. I didn't know there was a Doris Day Animal League. I'm assuming it's named for THE Doris Day. I surfed around on the site a bit and it looks like it's full of info. I was especially intrigued by the Canada goose section. I live across the street from Lake Ontario and Canada geese are a common fixture around here. Sometimes on my front lawn! Simon is a little afraid of them. It's against the law here to kill one. Big fines and jail time. As it should be. I think I will bookmark that site. Thanks!
Carrie, wow, you must live in such a neat area, that is amazing. Geese on your front lawn! I imagine Mattie would be just like Simon in being apprehensive!! You are right about the big fines and jail time - as it should be - hope there aren't people hurting the sweeties.
Doris Day is someone who uses her celebrity for the RIGHT reasons, to be sure. If you check around on that link, you can find out about her and her love for animals...

This is GREAT : )
Thanks for the link
Teddy
Awesome!
If you refresh the main page over and over you'll see different animal photos at the top of the screen. I love the one of the cow! (That cat is too cute too)
superman for the animals -- how awesome! "Working to reduce the pain and suffering of non-human animals through legislative initiatives." Thank goodness for people with compassion for animals.
i can't read a lot of that stuff anymroe. my hearts has been broken in to a million pieces too many times over the plight of animals in our world.
i just don't understand it...
Hi! I responded to your question within comments on my blog! Thanks for asking...it was a good question.
Hey there

Teddy
That's so neat!
yayyyyyyy!!!
Thanks for all the great comments!
It is hard for me to read about some of this heartbreaking stuff, too, but i am very glad, VERY GLAD, that there are people who speak out strongly for those who are unable (animals!!)...
There are many charities near and dear to my heart (obviously the "arf" one i use as my avatar is one, and Farm Sanctuary, which i have written about before) and Doris Day, though i don't know much of her as an actress, has her heart in the right place with her activism and this charity...
Thank you all for being animal lovers! It does my heart good...
