Tour guide

The second of five girls and the fourth of 10 children, this is my middle sister's daughter, Chaya. She's been on holiday visiting my family until some of us go to her oldest brother's wedding later this month in Canada.

Mattie & i (and Heidi one day as well) have been pleasantly occupied taking her around San Diego County. The top two photos were taken in Coronado, the bottom one in La Jolla.

Attention all athletes!

A wonderful booklet about sports nutrition that you can read online or as a PDF from those great folks at OrganicAthlete:

and as well, from the U.K., a fab read:

Thank you for all the support and kindness through your words i've been reading in response to my last post (and previous ones as well).

Life is good, 'tis.

What sweet pics! Looks like you guys all had a great weekend. Is'nt nice when you can spend time with family like that? wow, ten kids! That's going to be quite the wedding with all of the family. :)

I'll have to take a look at that .pdf file about nutrition for athelets. The trainers at the gym are always asking if I'm getting enough protein. They just can't beleive that I can work out and not eat meat.

It must have been so nice to have your beautiful niece visiting you. And the pictures are so gorgeous. Please, please, can I be transported to CA for just a few minutes on the beach?...
You are surrounded by beauty, cuteness, and love! ;-)

Ten kids....wow, as an only child that is beyond my comprehension. It must be great fun when everyone is together.

Wow, I didn't know you had so many siblings!! Lucky you! I only have one sister, so the idea of a big family sounds really great to me!

Thanks for the comment today on my blog. With Mattie's and your hugs, we are sure to get better here!! :)

Thanks for your comment on my blog, as always.;-) I really appreciated it.

Chaya is a beautiful name! And Mattie is looking lovely, as always.

You're coming to Canada later this month?! Woo hoo! The great Kleo arrives! If you're going to be in Toronto, let me know - I'll send you a list of all the veggie places you must frequent.

Your pictures make me want to go to the beach. Thanks for the sports nutrition link. As an aspiring dietician, I find information like that very interesting.

I'm glad you and Mattie and Chaya are having a nice time. Chaya... that's such a beautiful name!

your parents are adorable too!

beef fat? that's disgusting.

i hav emixed feelings about the girl in the article. if everyone gave up one meat meal a day the world wuold be a differnt place. if she eats meat once in a great while becuase she loves it so much, then i guess that's better than eating it 3 meals a day? i just wish she didn't end her article liekthat.

The photos of your niece and the "kids" are adorable. She is so beautiful. And I love her name. Chaya! What are her siblings names? Ok, you really don't have to tell me if you don't want to. :)

Your note to have a healthy and upbeat week struck a cord in me. I am going to write that on my mirror. Those are two things I strive for on a daily basis.

I hope you are doing well. I've missed you and blogland these past couple of weeks.
