"no animals were bothered in the making of lunch"

I laughed when i read that line in the following news article because it's just so cute. Better than that old Carl's Jr. "don't bother me, i'm eating" line any day.

But in all seriousness, it's a darn good read. (Mattie agrees.)

There is a sanctuary in Northern California called Animal Place. It seems wonderful. I hope someday to visit the real Animal Place.

But till then, it's online...

And now they have a blog here on blogspot!

She's 12 (84,is that?), she's deaf, but Mattie's spry... forever young at heart... i gotta tell ya though, this cartoon made me laugh. AARP AARP!

And while i'm on the subject of older furry ladies (no one's callin' any dawg a b*h here!), here's Heidi 'n' Peter kickin' back recently. They seem to be expressing the "Let Love Rule" way of life, as Lenny Kravitz might sing.

I wish I could adopt one of those pups. Mattie is so lucky to have such a great puppy mama.

I have to say it again--I'm so glad you're back. I really missed you, Kleo.

OMG!! That face! She is just the cutest of the cute.
Thanks for links. I especially like the Animal Sanctuary blog. I hope they post happy pictures and stories all the time. I don't like the other kind. :o( I am a big, huge wimp you know.
Don't work too hard Kleo!

Heidi and Peter look like the best of friends- the looks on their faces of absolute utter contentment- I just LOVE it! There is nothing more attractive in a man than when they have a soft spot for the critters!

Mattie is so darn cute! Thanks for the link. I agree with the restaurant -- the word, vegan, scares people. One of my friends actually told me that when she hears the word, she thinks it sounds evil and when I first went vegan, she was concerned that I was doing something "wrong".

tee hee- I laughed at the "aarp!" I wish there were more places like the animal place in this world...
your puppy pictures are so cute! let me say again, "aarp!" (my cats, who are 11 years old, would say, "me-aarp")

Enjoyed the photos, and the doggy joke.

Here's to making a vegan world, best wishes The Artist

I also like the part in the article where the owner refers to the "other" people as "nonveg" - like they're the weirdos!

Glad you're back to blogging, Kleo!
