After a little walk with me, Mat caught some rays on her favorite little couch on the porch in the backyard at my parents' house on Wednesday. It rained today and will again tomorrow, but she had it good for a few hours yesterday.
A little later i caught her taking a swig o'water from their swimming pool...
A good read (although some of it bugged me, but please don't let that stop you) from Newsweek magazine via MSNBC found at Richard's blog http://sadlywaiting.blogspot.com/ about omnis & veggies co-existing happily:

Great story on Newsweek--thanks for the link! (I have an omni husband and 2 veg kids, and we do just fine.)
mattie looks so relaxed & happy - I love the swig 'o water photo! I'm off to check your links...
That's funny--most dogs I have met won't go near a swimming pool. Mattie's so adventurous!
Welcome back, Kleo!! I missed you!
The sight of Mattie basking in the sunlight is just gorgeous.
Will now read your links...
Mattie knows how to live!
Good to see you back! Thanks for thinking of me!

Awww, Mattie is just so darn cute. She looks so relaxed laying on the porch couch. Hope you have a great weekend Kleo :)
Good to see you in blog-land again! :)
Mattie's looking good. She's such a happy-looking dog. :)
Sunny San Diego! Awwww....Mattie sure picked a nice spot for sunbathing. I'd hang out with her there any day! Interesting article - like you, some of it did bother me as well. But if they can live in peace and harmony, more power to them.
got here through the Artist's blog. Aww what a cute dog!
Mattie looks adorable lying there in the sun. The link was an interesting read. Though there are many decisions the author made that contrast my own, it is very interesting to read about how one couple compromises when it comes to comflicting eating habits.
So glad to have you & Mattie back! She looks great out there in the sun...must feel good!
I'm glad that you like my blog, means a lot since I'm so new to this blog world!
Mattie is so sweet- what a great girl. She loves the water. She could be the pisces in your blog title!
Will certainly check out the story about the happy coexistence of veg & omni's- though I can attest to the happy existence between me & and my little carnivore, Booboo, although I have been slowly incorporating vegan kibble which is so exciting!
Hi ya, Cute puppy! I love animals. Your baby is so adorable. Thanks for visiting my blog!
Aww Mattie. I have an aunt and uncle who live in Woodland Hills, and their dog Shylor often steals little sips of water from the pool too!
I thought that article was interesting... but a little sad. I, like many vegans, live in harmony with a non-vegan mate. But, honestly, if our friends dropped off meat at our house (out of ignorance that veggies are killing my husband), if my husband ate fish eyes (out of pure stubbornness or lack of consideration), or if my family wanted to slaughter a pig (because one must adhere to 'tradition' no matter what) I think I'd go crazy! Harmony is one thing, but I couldn't live in that marriage.
Long time no see - sorry!
Your dog is always a cute looking. We have a blizzard in Norway now and I get you'll all have fun playing around here:-)
Mattie is one of the cutest doggies I've ever seen! She really lives it up, doesn't she?
I'll have to make sure I read that Newsweek article later today -- sounds very interesting!
Ew, Mattie--don't drink the pool water. Whenever I create a bubble bath, my kitty inexplcably drinks the soapy water--despite my protests.
Mattie is so adorable.
I've said it before and I'll say it again--so glad you're back.
xoxo
Hi Kleo!! :)
Happy to see Mattie's beautiful face some more! I love how she is helping herself to that huge dog water bowl they installed just for her!! Lol!
Ooh, that article. How confusing. I feel horrible for saying that I know I could not live as casually and happily as that lady does if my hubby were not compassionate in that way. (I also won't be found putting milk in my coffee or eating the feta in the salad as to not hurt feelings though!) I'm happy that Britty is vegan, and also Jamie is too. It just makes it all so much easier for me. :)
Anyhow, you are great and I'm happy you are blogging!!!!!!!!!!
Great pictures of Mattie.
Interesting Newsweek article. I certainly couldn't survive in that marriage.
My daughter is officially in love with Mattie. She told me that Mattie would be accompanying us when we go to South Carolina this coming July. :-)
luxuriating on the couch in the sun?!? and then a "dip" in the pool?! this dog has the life i want. i'm trudging through slush.
